Hi, I would like to suggest you that you will need to disable the on board sound before you can use the sound card. Check the computer manual or specifically the BIOS to do so. You may also try the steps and check if it helps.
Right-click the Volume icon by the time in the lower-right corner. Click Playback Devices , the Sound window opens. Click Set Default and click Apply. Click OK to close the window. This completes the steps to activate HDMI sound.
